I am interested in finding the Pearl Flip (8220): 5.0.0.314 as mentioned in the stickied thread in this forum. I have searched the usual spots and seems just the 8900, 9000, on and on are the most popular and easiest to find.
Is the 8220 5.0x OS not out in the wild and just known that bb is working on it?

I don't think anyone is putting much effort into the 8220 Flip right now.
I personally doubt if we'll see 5.0 soon.

Well according to RIM, they have delivered 5.0 OS code for all devices that will be seeing an upgrade to carriers as of Dec 31, 2009. It is up to the carriers to test and approve the OS code as they see fit.

Anyone happen to know if this OS is out there by chance some where on the net? I had no luck in finding it. I would love 5.0 on my flip, i think it would be a great improvement to this phone series

There is no known or rumored 5.0 OS for the 8220/8230.

Oh, well a beta release came out for the 8230 for the 5.0 OS and on the new operating system list on this website shows the latest OS for the 8220 for beta is the 5.0.0.314. I just could not find that beta anywhere around the net though
