New user-trying anything like this first time :
i am not able to install opera mini cod and axl files from my pc to BB 8830. In app loader , after clicking browse and going till the folder which has these files , nothing shows up to select. where i am making a mistake ? i am currently not on a data plan

Also, just wondering how you plan to use Opera Mini without a data plan?

I have the 'blackberry desktop manager' on my pc. nothing else.
As of now , i want to just install Opera Mini

You probably need to download an install the OS that's running on your BB before Desktop Manager will let you install anything.

you can get the os from rims official site its free so you dont have to pay anything download that and it should work but you need to go to options on your phone and then to about and on the first page it should tell you what os you have and yes you at least have to have a data plan or use boost mobiles 50 dollar plan in order to use it
