Default Is there a way to...

Hi Guys

Just wondered, is there a way to send an email from a blackberry phone without the standard signature blackberry add at the bottom of the email? An email looking like it was sent from a computer rather then mobile phone?

Of course there is.
Log into your BIS account and edit the settings for your email address.
You'll see the spot to remove or edit your signature.

Thanks for such a quick reply.

Also my personal email is setup to forward incoming emails to the balckberry email account. Would you have any suggestions how to reply to those emails without letting the sender know the reply was sent from a mobile phone? Looking like the email was sent from a computer.

Thanks

first of all, you really shouldn't be using the carrier supplied BB account. It is totally unfiltered so if it gets out and is harvested, you will get more SPAM that you wish to have.

You can't take it with you if and when you change carriers

The only way to read email to that account is on the BB itself.

Exactly what do you mean? How it is displayed to the receiver is really dependent on the device or application he/she uses to read email.

Removing the "sent by blackberry" is easily done as pointed out above. Check the FAQ for more information on that.

what I meant is...

I use the carrier supplied BB account. Emails from my personal email account are forwarded to that carrier supplied BB account and my BB. When I reply to the messages the reply is sent from the carrier supplied BB account.

I'd prefer if the replys are sent from my personal email not the carrier suplied BB account but not sure how to do it.

You can't.
Just setup your personal email account on BIS, and don't use the carrier supplied account.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

Seems like common sense to me... I mean, you can't send emails from my account... Why would you be able to do it like that...

Log onto the BIS site and change the reply address to your regular email address.
