it's gotta be in there somewhere. This once happened to me with an email that i couldn't find. Then discovered that I had hidden icons on my home screen and it was under one of the hidden icons. Also keep in mind that the new BBM is interlaced with sms threaded conversations. Meaning that if i have a convo with a contact that is both in ur phonebook and in ur BBM, ur sms conversations will show up in ur BBM and (from what i hear) vice versa. So see if u don't have an old unread sms message somewhere, or a contact that u have erased from BBM, but still have convos in sms, maybe somehow they are showing up in BBM. Who knows...it's beta software know what i mean, so ultimately if u cannot figure it out just downgrade, lol. Works for me.
