Ok guys, need some hep here, plugged my 9700 into my mac today, it prompted me to that a software update was available for my device, i plugged it in. at the end of the process i git a message that device software coulndt be updated. now after numerous battery pulls when the phone turn on i get a white blank screen or a screen that research in motion 1997-2008 or just my personal information such as name and address.. any thoughts???

Is there an error code associated with the white screen of death?

Might need to do an OS reinstall.

no error code like the usual 507, the phone will not ring when i call it however, i can hear my email alerts and texts. the red light also flashes, so strange

Probably need to wipe and re-install the OS.

Ok, I've done that several times with prior berry's when I had a pc, right now I only have a macbook. Can I do an os reinstall from a mac??

You should be able to they now have DM for Mac.

I think the latest release of the Mac DM allows that. Check the Mac section.

If that doesn't work, find a friend with a PC and see if he/she will let you use it to do he OS upload.
