i bought my bb in the USA, it's a Verizon Unlockd bb 9530, so wich FW should i put on it... (do you also have one, with dutch language?)

and can someone please post a how to upgrade, with the tools you need and stuff like that, because i dont want my bb to turn in to a brick... iloveit.. so please help a newby

please don't send me some links, and tell me.. just check this... (im quite suure i tried for a couple of months now)

does 5.0 has some nice applications? wich i can instal without a data plan( wich i havent got) so i like to have the alx and cod file for the data manager...

Yup, once it's unlocked it good to go.

Follow these instructions here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

If you have any questions let us know.

As far as backing up your BB, download the DM and install it on your PC.

See the latest OS post stickied at the top of the forum. Also read the other stickies.

You can install the OS released by any carrier, provided it is for your model blackberry. Follow the instructions in the post exactly.

Installing a new OS will not lock your blackberry.

Use desktop manager to backup your blackberry. See http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_FAQ.

Yes, using Desktop Manager > Backup, will also backup your text messages and settings on your device.

The backup will back up everything. Some things like ringtones and profiles may or may not stay unchanged. But all data and almost all settings will be preserved.

If you have a black and while screen and simple icons afterward, just reset your theme.

Loader is not Backup.

Open Desktop Manager.

Click ON the icon that is labeled "BackUp/Restore"

Follow the prompts there to backup your device data to your PC.
