i want to install the desktop manager on windows 2000 but not able to as it says i need a minimum windows vista to install can anyone help

You need to install DM 4.2 or earlier if you are using Windows 2000. Later versions work on XP/Vista/Win 7 only.

With Windows 2000 I believe you are limited to DM 4.3

Sure! Just plug it in to any direct USB port. If you use a hub, however, there may not be enough power through the line to charge your BlackBerry.

On systems that power down "unused" USB ports you'll probably need the USB driver for the BB.
