Question Saving caller #: In SIM? Phone memory?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

When a new caller calls in and I save their number, BB doesn't prompt whether to save it into its memory or the SIM card. I prefer to have them saved into the SIM because it makes it easier to move the SIM into another cellphone.

Does someone know where numbers are saved when doing it in this context?

Thank you.

They'll be saved on the phone memory.

Again, SIM phonebook support is only there for those migrating from a "regular" phone. Once you're on the BB you'll use the address book which is stored in the BB's memory. You need to sync and/or backup with a PC regularly. If you migrate your best approach is to export/sync from the PC to your new device.

The SIM phonebook only stores a name and a number for a contact. That's it. No email, no mailing address, no alternate numbers or any of the other data that is typically stored with a contact.

Mm... Right, syncing with a PC seems like a better option. Thanks guys.
