Default Visual Voicemail

Please Login to Remove!

I tried searching for an answer but couldn't find anything. Everything is working great on my 9700, my only issue is the timestamp on my voicemails in the visual voicemail program is way off, by 7 hours or more. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

Your carrier has to reset it. Just call them and then reboot. It will work fine after that.

You should have the icon, if you dont go to options, advanced, Host Routing Table, and hit menu and re-register device. Give it a few minutes and it should be there. If you already have it, call your carrier and they will help set it up with you.

It is for AT&T. I assume it is for T-Mobile as well. Check T-Mobile's website or call them to make sure.

Wirelessly posted

For att, you don't have to call in to activate the feature. You can login to your personal acct and add the service yourself. It'll then push the service book, and lead you through the rest of of the install. To be honest, google voice works way to well to even bother with visual voicemail. Try to get a google voice acct and forward your unanswered calls to it.

how well does this feature work? I used phonetag (now simultel) with my 9000 and I kept that service on the 9700. I like it a lot... but it isn't free.

is the visual v-mail comparable?

No idea. Basically, someone calls and you don't answer so the call is sent to voicemail as normal. However, the voicemail message the caller leaves is pushed to your phone. There is a popup that gives you the Caller ID info of the voicemail. You go into the app and can listen to any voicemails in any order you choose, and the Caller ID info is displayed when you listen to the voicemail. The Caller ID info is also displayed in the list of voicemails (looks like a list of e-mails).

Additionally, with a voicemail selected in the app, you can save the voicemail, or you can forward it as an MMS or an e-mail. Hopefully that helps you figure out if it is what you are looking for.

Thanks for describing this so that I didn't have to set it up!

phonetag.com (at least that's what it used to be) transcribes the v-mail and then sends it both as an .mp3 file with the full text plus it goes to a BBerry app that manages v-mail like a different email box. I rarely actually _listen_ to v-mail anymore b/c I just read it. But if the transcription service FUBARs something, i'll listen to it.

color me a v-mail hater!

Ah. Fair enough. VVM fits my needs, but if you want transcribed voicemail, then VVM definitely can not do that.

T-Mobile has it for free. It is listed under services on your online account management. Just add it there then try running visual voicemail again.

I am having the same problem. Visual voicemail was showing the correct time, but now that I have loaded my contacts from Outlook the time is off by 7 hours.
