Default wifi without uma

Please Login to Remove!

is it possible to use wifi without the uma option? i have no interest in using uma anytime soon

I don't know much about UMA.
It is possible to use wi-fi with out your network. Just turn your network off and keep wi-fi on.

Manage Connections> Wi-Fi (Click on) Mobile Network (Click off)

Not sure why you'd want to switch it off (except that high-bandwidth downloading may affect call quality) but I believe you go to "options -> mobile network" and chose "mobile network only" (or mobile network preferred) for your connection preferences.
