I've installed the latest OS on my BB Bold (9000M_PBr4.6.0_rel518_PL4.0.0.248_A4.6.0.303_Mobi T el_Bulgaria.exe) on on ATTWS. However, all VVM that get downloaded are cut off at 1 minute exactly.

Is this a feature? If so, can I turn it off? I have waaay too many clients who leave long messages that get cutoff.

I recognized this also and as a matter of fact called ATT today to ask about it. The cust. service rep told me that the iPhone VMM will support 40 messages of 4 minutes.

The bold (which I have) will support 40 messages of 1 minute in length.

The rep speculated that the limitation was hardware based since the two devices had different time limits.

She could not determine if / how to change the length of the messages my callers could leave me.

She said she could move me back to the old voice mail system which I will likely do. I very much like the VVM functionality, but the convenience of the interface pales to the value of getting phone numbers from my callers instead of having them get their messages cut off.

I would welcome a long thread of replies to this in support of increasing the recording length that bold users can receive. Perhaps someone at ATT or RIM will address this.

For me, 60 seconds of a single voicemail is plenty. Although I can see how others might require more.

40 message ? Wow, I manage my vmail box to only have a few like maybe 0-5. I would like to have a space requirement with a 3 min time limit. That way you could have 13 messages of 3 min, or 20 messages of 2 min.....etc...

I would like to see a way to download the messages to the SD card or the internal 1G.

I moved from YouMail to VVM. Maybe Google Voice is the right thing for VVM now that it supports existing phone numbers and has BB application to see inbox, plus has message to text.

I find the 1 minute sufficient. Long enough for someone to leave a brief message and number. If they are going to quote Moby Dick then send me an email.

I agree -- 1min is usually long enough. The issue is that 10-15% of messages I get are cutoff. Hugely annoying!

Might have to start forwarding unanswered calls to Google Voice.
