Red face Very confused BB Virgin - Am I missing the obvious . . .

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

Just taken delivery of my new Bold 9000, looks and feels great but . . .
I come from using an HTC device with WM6.1, so I'm used to be able to tweak desktop/homepage icons, but how is this done on the blackberry.

I have a default set of Email, Contact, Calender, Web, VLive icons, but I want to change them for others , like SMS Message icon etc.

Also, when using the media player for music and I have my ear phones/mic on, when the phone rings I don't hear the ring tone in the ear phones, is that normal.

All help is gratefully received.

I got a question for you.

Where did you get that 6.1 for the HTC? Can you link it please?

And, when you go to the main menu, the top row of icons is the row that will show on your main screen.

It is a re badge phone from Vodfone called the V1615 but in essence it is the TyTyn II with the offical HTC bios update on it taking it to Windows Mobile 6.1. I loved the phone, but data connector busted for the 2nd time so replace with another qwerty keyboard phone hence Bold 9000.

Thanks for your input on the Icons, I jut need to work out how to move the menu icons now, lol, is that using the alt button then use the move function?

Highlight an icon, press the menu key and select move, then move the icon to the location you desire. Then press the trackball.

Awesome guys thank you,
Now, just to extend that question, the numbers of icons on the home page, is this defined by the theme, so different them, different number of icons and positions can change?
