so far its running pretty smooth....stormlevel pro doesn't work, but everything else i have works.
will chime back in a few days to post my findings....
Installed 5.0.0.230 last night. Seems fast and stable so far. Had some errors after install, but they haven't come back since a battery pull. All apps I have in stalled seem to be working with the exception of QuickPull Lite, that includes: Google Sync, Facebook, Ubertwitter, Google Talk and more.
Any 5.0 OS that I've ran seems fine at first. Then for some reason, when I'm on the home screen, it's like my blackberry key is being pressed repeatedly. There's no problem on any other screen.
I've wiped and problem is resolved. Then a few days later it starts again. I usually load all apps that I plan to load right after install so if it was app related I would think that I would see the problem after putting all the apps back on my storm but it doesn't work that way. It will work fine for a few days and then this problem starts again.
i had problems with .230, so went back to .151. among the problems, the phone glitches when a call comes in, screen sticks where the incoming call info is displayed. also hitting the red button to clear the screen causes the phone to beep loud. also noticed that the missed call no longer appears in the call log tab (also do not see my calls into vm, which i know i did). in messages view, sometimes the message listing text becomes cut off.
I downloaded this and have been running it for a few days.
I am going to go back to the 4.7.251 when I get off work.
Too many apps (quik pull, beejive, others) dont work, and it seems buggy.
I as well have returned to 4.7.0.151. I didn't run into any problem preventing normal use of the phone, but there were many other small glitches including sound/volume problems and graphical glitches that were just ruining the experience. Guess I'll be sticking to 4.7 builds until the Storm 2 is released (and apparently that's gonna be soon).
Query...
I've found 2 versions... an overlay for 191 at 65mb in size, and another, with a full RIM installer at 120mb. Anyone know whats missing/corrected in it? 191 and previous 5.0 releases are about 150mb in size...
Or is RIM finally trimming the fat for 90% of devices with 128mb RAM...
