Default Desktop Manager v5.0

It does this annoying thing where everytime I plug my Tour in to sync, it checks for application updates. Surely there's some way to turn that off right?

Thanks a lot

I won't touch 5.0, but 4.7 has no option that I have ever found, I'm sure 5.0 is the same.
I tried 5.0 for a day and had way too many problems with it.

Go into Add/Remove Programs and click Change/Remove to go thru the install again (select the 'Modify' option). You should have the option to have it not check for updates.

Just let it check. It'll do it just once and then not ask again until you put a new OS version on the computer.

I did this in 4.7 and in 5.0.
It never worked.

The only true sure fire way to not have it check for updates is to unplug your ethernet cable/wireless dongle.

It scans your vendor code and model, ges back to its server, picks up the OS numbers for your model and goes "you need to do this"
Usually on core applications and some languages.

Theres no other way to disable it.
