I am unable to download Desktop Redirector from anywhere? Can anyone help?

I am in UK and have the Blackberry Storm with Desktop Manager v.5.

redirector is included with desktop manager
except its not included in desktop manager 5

its a program that RIM has never really developed and as of v.5 have appeared to stop supporting.

Never really developed?

Desktop Redirector predates both BES and BIS. If you wanted wireless e-mail to your BlackBerry you had to use Desktop Redirector. It is only certified with Microsoft Exchange backend e-mail servers. It has worked exactly the same way for at least 7 years.

I have the original RIM 950 BlackBerry that I used with redirector.

I know it predates BES and BIS.
Its a program that hasnt been updated like DM has.
And has stopped being included, as V5 doesnt have it.

I use Desktop Manager 5.0, and it had the Redirector. I use it every day. You have to install the Desktop Manager like you have a BES, to get it to install the Redirector.

ahh right.
see i originally thought that, and was then told it doesnt matter whether you set it up with personal or work account, that redirector.exe was in one of the subfolders on the HDD.

For many carriers, redirector only works if you have their BES plan.

Life was so much more simple then. And being a BB Admin was, too. More pay, less work. Ah, the old days!
