So is it fixed yet?

Hi all
I recently went from an iPhone 3g back to a curve 8900.
I went back to blackberry for reliability reasons and so far I'm really glad I did. However, while I love the whole blackberry thing (it's great to be back), I miss the large screen and touch nature of the iPhone.
So: is the Storm fixed yet? I was told that at launch, it was VERY poor. I'm also told that the OS has been improved massively.
How will it compare to my 8900 if I get one unlocked?

The Storm (or at least mine) has it's issues but it is alot better since the latest OS update. I have had people ask me outside or work and I suggest waiting for the "storm 2" or check out the tour.

the storm is a whole lot better now than it was at release. as far as waiting for the storm 2, to each his own. There is no release date for it but some are saying november. if you can wait that long, i would wait to see what it's about, but if not i would go for the storm now. i don't know your expectations, but i love my phone for what it's worth and it's only getting better.

I'd say that the iPhone is fixed now, more or less, thanks to the Storm. Cut & Paste? Video Camera recording? iPhone has that now, but the Storm has always had that. If the Storm didn't come out or didn't have that, I wonder if Apple would have bothered? The Storm has a few probs, isn't the screen larger than the iPhone's? I'd say yes, it's fixed.

I've had mine since February and haven't had any more frustrations with it than I had with my 8320 Curve. If you have an option to try one for a few days, you might as well.
Right now, my only complaint is the battery life, but that's because I just moved to a new house in the middle of nowhere, and the poor signal is draining the life out of my battery like crazy. There's not much I can do about that, though, other than just wait for Verizon to improve their coverage out here.

Battery life is a bit poor if you're in a low coverage area and running alot of apps at the same time.

To each his own, but I'd still like to slam mine into a million pieces. Battery life is horrible if you use the internet or make phone calls (yeah...think about that for a second), still laggy on the keyboard, and even with the "official" upgrade, 3 times in the past week and a half the keyboard has just froze up. And honestly I'm not a "power" user...and no, I don't have a bunch of stuff running in the background. Nothing actually, except the normal 5 plus TalkLock.
Screen is awesome. I will say that....but overall? Definitely the most frustrating phone I've ever owned.
