So I just got a new 8900 from Rogers. Like I usually do, I do a hard reset once in a while. It has always helped before with performance except for this time.

This time, I rebooted it and it doesn't get pass the Rogers screen. I know my network is up and its connected because I'm still receiving emails and phone calls. The phone is functioning fine, except for the Rogers sign. I thought I could maybe restore it with DM, but it didn't work, I got an error message...

Has anybody seen this before? Or know the solution???

Are you talking about the background image? The Wallpaper? Browse your Images and see if you can locate it then Menu>Set as Home Screen.

No...It doesnt let me go to the homescreen. I cant do anything. I cant make calls or do anything. But I can receive stuff. All I see is the provider's screen "Rogers"....Nothing else...

Oh, sorry that I didn't understand. Have you tried pulling the battery again?

Have you installed any 3rd party software or themes recently?

And that would have been the next step.....just trying to make it as painless as possbile.
