i am not able to transfer songs etc from my laptop to the blackberry. please help. i am first time user

The 7130 is an old BlackBerry and does not have a media card slot.

You should not even try to move media to the BlackBerry as you will use up all of the internal memory and cause it top have problems (like delete messages and texts).

oh i see. i understand that. so you are saying that if i have a later version like the 8900 i can use the media card. cool.
but what i want to know is...is there no way that i can transfer files. any other files?

If you have a newer BlackBerry (like the 8900) and a media card, you can transfer files directly from your desktop as the media card appears in My Computer.
