Question Bluetooth disabled on BB Startup....

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I have a user with a BB 8800 who has an issue with hie BT. His 8800 is set to auto turn off every day and in the morning he needs to activate his BT, it seems like it loses the previous setting. This has only happened since upgrading to OS v4.5.0.52 previous version was fine.

He is finding it annoying to keep having to enable his BT each time he get into his car in the morning.

Is there a way to keep the BT settings so that even when his unit auto turns off it will start up with BT enabled?

We are on BES 4.1

The only thing that I can think of is that the OS looks to be an older beta. Try upgrading to the latest and greatest. See the stickies for this sub-forum.

Hi djm2,

Thanks for the reply. I've just looked at the BB web site under my local service provider - Orange UK.

I've looked under the correct BB model the 8800 (double checked this with what the BES was reporting the units as being)
I looked at the software OS download and it's reporting the same version as the handset has currently.

- Applications: 4.5.0.52

I would not have thought that Orange would uplaod and share a Beta version of the OS for this handset without saying that .52 is only a Beta..

Any other ideas I can check...

I may have misunderstood your question, because I see that you are referring to applications in your post. However, here is a link to the stickie on this board for a version of the OS that is newer.

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

In the first post on that thread is a link to download the most recent production release OS for the 8800.
