I must have the superfast Bold with dual processor and superfast OS. If I had a curve, I would think that I had the same OS that President Obama has on his.

to boot up faster, turn off memory cleaning. Yes, you'll run out of ram faster, but turning on your phone will take all of 60 seconds.

BlackBerry devices with a corporate policy take longer, in my own experience. After restoring a Bold from scratch, it was booting noticeably quicker, until I reimplemented my BES account.

I'm on a BES from the day I got my Bold. I have also updated to the .247 from I got my Bold and I have always had the same boot time. Midnightdraven, I'm gonna try the memory cleaner option and see if my boot time increases.

my bold was taking a very long time to boot as i kept doing all sorts of software experiments with it. installing software, deleting software. Trying to get it to stream all sorts of radio stations and tv stations.

The OS became unstable and it began to crash often to the point where one day it just didn't start up. I had the 'four red lights blinking' thing happening. I had to do a clean install of the OS. No update no backup, and once i did a complete clean install, the OS booted significantly...significantly faster. Even after i put back all the stuff that i lost in the crash, booting time has not changed from after doing the restore.

What u may wanna do is backup ur phone, wipe it, then do a clean install. Then restore it. As i kept doing software updates, it kept taking longer and longer to load. Finally i guess it just had enough..lol. Now the phone is in fantastic shape.
