Default Picture Storage?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

Quick question. When I take pictures on my phone they are automatically stored in the device memory file in my camera. I do have a media card installed and there is really nothing on it. How can I send my pictures to the card for storage rather than the device memory folder? Any help is appreciated. The phone is a curve on the verizon network.

Thanks!

Go into the camera, click on the Menu button and select Options.
Store Pictures > Switch to Media Card.

Scratch that...

I have changed the setting to store my pictures on my media card, but when I take a picture it says "file system full"

I know the memory card isnt full, it even tells me that i have 104.0kb of data storage left.

Does any one know whats going on here? I cant seem to store anything besides songs on my media card. I have already re-formatted once and re loaded the songs I want, but I had to put my pictures onto my computer and start fresh. I would love to know how to start a new folder or anything to keep all my pictures, I feel lost without being able to use my camera.

Thank you.

Based on what you are saying, if you have only 104kb left that's not a lot of space. No wonder you can't put additional things on your media card.

How big is your card?

The card is 2gb. The problem that I see is that before I reformatted my memory card I had about 80 pictures on it, as well as around 60 songs. Now I have about 20 songs, and no pictures and its telling me its full. The card is pretty old it has been through three phones. Do you think the problem would be solved if I were to get a newer bigger card?

20 songs doesn't seem like it should fill up a 2GB card.

When you checked the amount of free space did you do it on the device or did you look at it when you had the device connected to the computer in mass storage mode?

I know its confusing me. Theres no way 20 songs takes up that much space. I checked how much size is left on the card through the phone, not the computer.

See if you can verify the amount of free space from the computer. If its the same you might consider reformatting the card again.

Its possible that the card is on its way out but it is puzzling.

When i plug into my computer there isnt even a way for me to find out how much space is left on the card. I honestly think its time for a new one. Any recommendations ?

Do you have mass storage mode enabled? If you do, it should pop up as one of your drives (like a flash drive) in My Computer. Right click it and select Properties. That should tell you how much space you have left.

When I look at the properties (mac user), I am told that out of 481.6MB there is an available 88kb. I dont have enough on the disk for there to be this little space left. Im so confused...

481mb on a 2GB card doesn't sound quite right. I don't have any experience with bad memory cards but its starting to sound like a new one might be in order. Are you able to borrow another card and test it out just so you can be sure the problem is isolated to your current card?

Pull the files off the card and try reformatting it. If that doesn't work then replace it.

You should probably start a different thread instead of hijacking somebody else's. Your topic is unrelated. But to answer your question, you might have to look in the aftermarket section of the forum. There is nothing native in BlackBerry that will allow you to record phone calls.

Are you asking about mp3s, videos, or both? Try enabling mass storage mode (Options>Media Card).

Get a new card. I recommend Newegg.com, very cheap, and great turnaround.

You can get a Kingston 2GB card with SD adapter for $5.99
