Not quite. It's not the same charger as the Razr chargers.

The connector is EXACTLY the same. The voltage requirements are different.

I have found that BlackBerry chargers will charge a Moto device, but a Moto charger will not work on a BB.

Not entirely true. I have used both a newer Motorola Mini USB home charger, and also the new Motorola Mini USB car charger to charge my 8330 without issue.

The Motorola wall wart I've used has Model: FMP5185B printed on it, and the car charger is the one that has the hologram appearing batwing logo that lights up when plugged in. I believe that it is the P510 (SPN5401).

YMMV.

I have found just the opposite. Moto chargers will charge both the BB and Moto, but the BB charger will only charge the BB, not the Moto.

That is exactly what is in the BlackBerry 8310. Here are a few examples:

Your USB cable that connects to it should look like this:

I've also found that Motorola part number SPN5404A, an offset wall wart charger, works as well.

To the Original Poster. Mini B USB, as the connectors on our BB Curves are known, has a male and a female component. What you see on your phone is the female. The end on a charger or a USB A to USB Mini B Cable is the male.

I don't think the OP is interested in chargers or sync cables that use this connection, but rather the actual connector on the 8310 board itself.
