Default How Is Your Tethering?

Please Login to Remove!

I have looked into this topic widely. As you can see, I use Telus, who offers an unlimited data plan, which is what I have. For a tethered blackberry, they charge an extra $8 (or around there) for every mb used, unbelievable huh? Though, I don't know if this is true for Telus, but for some providers like Sprint, you can set up on your computer straight your blackberry as a modem, instructed at <http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-use-your-blackberry-modem-19093/>.

Has anyone tried this for Telus, being free as long as you have a data plan? If not, how do you tether your blackberry? And do you pay for it?

I would not suggest doing that, unless you have a couple $$$ to throw around. It's not compatible with a unlimited plan, so be ready to pay through the teeth! But it does work wonders ;)

hmmm, I am hoping they (hackers) crack this someway. I need Telus to falsely believe that I am using internet on my blackberry in someway while I use it on my laptop. Wonder exactly how they find out - that can start off the process.

I agree that this would be a worthwhile thing to be able to do.

Wirelessly posted

Try using www.mobishark.com. They have an app that does exactly this.

Although, depending on the plan that you have with Sprint you may have tethering allowed.
