This is a Hybrid.114 OS made up of some of the best aspects of several prior OS's. And the accelerometer actually works. Great photo and video install instructions. Also great support. You will love it.
You can get it here: http://forums.blackberryos.com/forum...read.php?t=161
And great support here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/ne...-great-181926/

After I loaded this, I was messing around with it and my wife asked what I was doing. I told her I was messing around with my phone. She said, how come your not swearing.

yea this hybrid is looking pretty good so far. seems to have tackled the issues in regular .114. I just put it on so i'll have to mess around with it before i give a real review.

Works great. Battery life is awesome. I went all weekend on one charge, this morning still had 2 bars, and was streaming slacker radio for several hours over the weekend. No dropped calls on it yet, have occasional accelorometer delays, but no more than any other build has had. I agree that this should be the gold build!!

I spent most of last night loading .114 and then the hybrid. I was coming from .76, so I was expecting a stark improvement. I was not disappointed! Accelerometer works much better, noticeable decrease in lag time between switching applications, and even the screen seems to be reacting at a much snappier pace while typing.

I'm still playing with it, but so far, this has been well worth the effort to get it on there!

Has anybody found anything that is still buggy on this hybrid?

Yes there are a few things, there is another thread going on in the BETA forum talking about them. I saw some issues with the portrait qwerty typing rate and some massive battery drain issues.

Thread is here:

To be fair... it seems like you're the only person with battery drain issues... everyone else has reported excellent battery life.

Hmm... I've been holding off for the next official release... but this one might be worth the effort.

Over on the theme author's thread we have seen some reports of "massive" and "severe" battery drain, but not many. Most are reporting no change or better battery life. Mine is a bit better. But I'm a freak about "closing" applications via the menu and not downloading a lot of custom theme's. And I leave my GPS and Bluetooth off unless I'm going to use it. It does make you wonder though. I would try it. They will walk you through it and answer any question's you might have.

I follow the video, I think I follow do everything that is expected and some how the loader doesn't offer to upgrade or downgrade.

Help I'm stuck on .75 and I want to upgrade.

What am I doing wrong?

I downloaded everything and was following the video until the application started to install and then found it was a 9530 install

Is there a 9500 hybrid or new version available???

Nevermind I think I am fixed.

I loaded up the desktop manager and that found the updated fies and performed the upgrade. About claims I am at 4.7.0.109, which I think is right for the 114 hybrid I installed...

So far so good. So much faster and better than .76 I should have done this a while ago.

Thanks again for putting this together.

If your device info screen say's Platform 4.0.0.136 OS version 4.7.0.114, Your are on the hybrid.

Edit: And your welcome, but I had nothing to do with it. I'll pass it on to BBCrackman though.
