Default How Do I Keep Certain Sent Mail from my BB

Please Login to Remove!

So, I have few rules running on my Outlook account, that moves some incoming mail to a folder, and then send a copy of that incoming mail to someone else. However, the sent copy is showing up on my BB, and want to stop that.

I have looked into modifying/changing or adding a rule to move the sent e-mail to a different folder, but that is not possible in Olook 2007, at least as far as I can tell. Does anyone have a solution. It would be easy to pick the sent mail I want removed because it has some unique verbage that can be searched in the Re:, body, and reciepient fileds.

Thanks,
Michael

Are you on a personal BIS account?

Go to your carrier BIS and set a filter there, perhaps any mail from yourself, "do not foward to handheld".

You could go into Messages > Options > General Options > Hide Sent Messages = Yes.

Granted, the messages will still be in your sent items folder, but they will be hidden in your messages inbox.

Thanks. But I want to see my sent messages, just not these particular ones.

I don't think what you're looking to do is possible. So you only want some sent items not to show on the device? I don't know of a way to do that. The device sees that you've sent a messages, it doesn't know that you have a rule to send that particular message. It doesn't know to differentiate it.

You could still see your sent messages using the method I suggested. You would have to press the menu key and select view folder then go to the sent messages folder.

You should be able to configure a filter from your Blackberry if on a BES:

1. In the Messages folder, select Menu>Options. Select Email Filters.
2. Menu>New.
3. Complete the fields to create a new filter.
4. Menu>Save.

Not sure if any of those fields would include Sent Items though. Worth a shot.

You can also try to talk to your BES hosts/Admin to see if they can do anything for you as well on their end. If you work for a big company like me though you probably can't depend on any help
