I recently got a Blackberry 8900 on the Orange network in the UK.

I use googlemail for my email account.

I was at first unable to receive copies of mails I had sent on my blackberry, to my googlemail account, when I checked that account on a computer.

I have now solved this.

On orange.blackberry.co.uk > sign in.

Then, under settings, you click on "edit" next to your email account.

Then on the line of "AutoBCC", you just enter your own email account in the blank box.

Then "Save" and exit that site.

On your Blackberry device, press the Blackberry key and go to "Options".

Click on "Email Settings".

Set "Confirm Delivery", "Confirm Read" and "Send Read Receipts" all to "No".

Then "Save".

You will now get copies of messages you send on your Blackberry, showing up in your "Sent" folder of your googlemail account, when you check it on your computer.

You probably set up your gmail account in BIS as pop instead of imap, which doesn't sync sent mails with gmail. If set up as imap, sent mails are synced automatically one way from the bb to gmail.
