Default Recurring calendar meeting updates not syncing with BB handheld

Please Login to Remove!

Good day,

I am experiencing an intermitted issue with my BlackBerry Pearl.

It is configured to receive wireless sync from the BES xxx61664; Exchange Server

Synopsis:

I have a recurring calendar meeting to occur every Tuesday of the Month,
It shows up fine on my black berry the same as on my Outlook, but, whenever I make a change or update for 1 day (e.g. I had to reschedule this Tuesday ONLY for Wednesday but the other Tuesdays remain the same.)

When I make the change (update) from my Outlook my Blackberry does not update properly: instead it shows the original Tuesday and the Wednesday update making it confusing as to what day the meeting was.

I have to the call my secretary to look on Outlook to confirm.

How to resolve this??? Please Help

Did you check and see if wireless sync is set to on for the calendar? You can check that by going into the options menu in the calendar. If it's already set to yes then try regenerating the security key. Go to options in the main menu, security options, general settings. Scroll down till you see services, highlight one of the services and click on the trackwheel and select regenerate encryption key. If that doesn't work you might have to get your IT group involved to get it fixed.

Everything is setup as described above. If IT gets involved, what would they have to do or check for on their end?

Quite possibly a silly recommendation, but one which fixes a surprisingly large number of these intermittent problems. While the BB is turned on, have you recently removed the battery, waited for 60 seconds, and reinserted the battery? It seems to fix a lot of off-the-wall problems, and yours seems to fit in that category.

Did you try a battery pull or regenerate the security key?

If IT get's involved they would probably try to resync it with the server. Lot's of times that will get it back up and running if a batter pull, or regenerate the security key does not help.

Thank you Ricky-Ray and djm2 for the responses,

I've tried all of the above. What I will do is try to set up another 'Test' recurring calendar meeting, make a change to one of the recurring days and try again. I will post the results later.

Thank you for all the help

Regards,
