Default 8830 wont' activate

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, I'm out of ideas. Have an 8830 that won't activate.

-device is provisioned properly(actually was in use by another user until a week ago)
-has good connection to network
-PIN to PIN works
-Wiped the device a couple times
-Battery pulls a couple times.
-tried deleting and re-adding the user in BES
-rebooted BES server
-double checked the activation password
-server is running otherwise okay.
-Server info is in my sig, I'm fully patched to MR3 with the PDF patch.
-I activated another 8830 yesterday afternoon with no issues.

The device sits on "activating [email address]" for 15-20 min, then times out saying the server is not responding.

Anything I'm missing? I'm ready to pull my hair out here.

EDIT: added a bit more to what I've tried.

I ran into this not too long ago. What we did was;
1. Remove from server, then add to server and set activation passwor.
2. Delete all the service books.
3. Wipe the device.
4. Turn wireless back on.
5. Go to host routing table and register 3 times, wait 3-5 minutes for service books to download correctly.
6. Enterprise activate.

We also had some issues withe the user not being in e-directory and until we added the user to the directory, the device would not activate. Also, when you go to enterprise activate the device, the user should get a email from RIM statiing not to delete that email. If they are not getting that then the device won't activate.

yea, I had our phone girl call the carrier again, apparently they screwed up when they transfered the phone number over and that was what caused the issues, even though we were on the phone with them for an hour earlier in the day getting it all set up.

Got it fixed, activated no problem.

I hate cell phone carriers.
