Default Contacts software?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

I am new to the forum and new to blackberry so expect some silly questions.

I would like to synchronise my contacts, calender and tasks etc between my PC and my BB. What pc based contact management application would you recommend for ease of use with the storm

Cheers

The Desktop Manager software that comes with your phone will provide the functionality you are looking for.

The desktop manager does not appear to have a contact management system built into it

Good catch... it does not. It is merely an agent to perform a synchronization against your PIM software of choice. i.e. Outlook, Lotus Notes, Yahoo....

I think Outlook is the best so far, from my experience. My wife tried to use the Palm OS calendar and contacts, and it was a nightmare.

I've been using the google sync for my contacts. All my outlook contacts are work-related. So far it's worked very well.

I have been using the Google Sync application to sync both my contacts and my Calendar OTA. It actually works very well.

i have exactly the same need that you have, so i found in blackberry.it a beta software that manage the contacts in the way we want, so, the problem is that you can't search one contact, you must have to pass one by one when you try to find someone. Other software just work on the device, not in the pc. I'm still searching...

Not a lot out there other than what has been mentioned. Outlook is the most popular and has the widest user base, give Microsoft's penetration the business world. Sync is almost painless once you get it set up.

I use Google to sync calendars among several PCs.
