Default Themes that refuse to be removed

Please Login to Remove!

I'm new here, be gentle ;)

Ok, installed some themes via the desktop manager, they work but are ugly as sin so want to remove them but while in the theme browser I don't get a delete option, they don't show up in the application browser and the desktop manager claims I have no extra themes installed.

Short from wiping my handset what else can I do?

Btw, I'm looking for a nice clean theme that is like BB Dimensions Today as that was the only one I have seen so far that shows a few emails on the home screen.

You have to uncheck the box to the left of it first
Go next and then it will uninstall it

Then go back into it and you will be able to delete it =)

Eh? I have a 8300, I go to Theme, see a list, when I click on one in the list I can make it active (becomes bold, no tick box). I can also select other themes and click on the options button which gives me a menu with help, download themes, activate, reset theme defauts, switch application and close, no delete.

I'm running the latest version of the BB os

Welcome to the forums!

Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications, highlight the theme, press the menu key and then select delete.

Thanks for the welcome, Achmed (I love Jeff Dunham).

As said, I don't see the themes in Applications.... BUT, just clicked on options and then selected "show modules" which then shows the themes!

Thanks for making me check twice!

Have you tried a battery pull? I would try that and then check again. See if you have any luck.

Done that a few times now, will leave it out for a few minutes to see if that makes any difference.

Why not use Desktop manager to remove it?

Wirelessly posted (All the cool kids are doing it)

Some themes show as com_plazmic_etc in the application list. I have never seen a theme or program NOT show up on that list.

You are a 100% right but when I click on one of those plazmic items and select options I can only view and edit permissions but not delete the item.

You don't select options, highlight the theme, hit your BB menu button and go down to delete.

You have "View permissions", "edit permissions" and then delete.
