Try this:

Make a backup with Desktop Manager. Then go to Options >Security Options >Menu Key >Wipe Handheld.

This will wipe all your personal data from the device (you can restore it back from the backup.)

How does the device run after that?

hello, I just got home, the phone acts really bad, it freezes a lot, I was at the hospital in a ER and needed to use it and it was freezed!!!. I had to pull battery many times, until I decided to take off the sd card. I turned it on with out it, and turned off memory card feature. Put back the card, and rebooted. then the phone worked, slowly but worked. Later on I went and formated the card from the phone. Now it doesn't freeze. It seems if I put things on the card it ffreezes. It so frustrating, sometimes i see the phone on, and it looks ook but i can't get calls because its actually freezed. anyways, I would eventually try the wipe, you think this help?

It seems like I addressed the media card issue a few posts up. This is usually a media card issue.

Just curious. What brand card are you using? It may be defective.

Hey I don't mean to hijack but I've also got a problem with my micro SD I use with my Pearl. The other day I was adding a couple of songs using the BB media manager and the program froze. After I disconnected my BB it had stopped recognizing the media card. The card still works in my computer but the BB won't recognize it. Is there anything I can do?

:(
hi John, I did what you said,
Make a backup with Desktop Manager. Then go to Options >Security Options >Menu Key >Wipe Handheld.
Then I put the card back in, i went to media play a couple of songs,
then I closed the media menu, and tried calling my number. The phone was freezed, I could not move the cursor, or open app or recieve calls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

ok I tried this: went to music folder, and erased all the cd covers, organized folders so that there is no folder inside another folder, and it worked. Now I'm going to try to load more music to the sd card to see if it works..

ok seems its working now.
All i did as I said above, was to delete the covers of the albums of mp3, and then just load strcitcly mp3 to those folders. it seems BB sd card is not friendly withhaving covers on the albums. so far is good. Thanks so much John!
