Default Who has switched from VZW Curve to ATT Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering who out there has made the switch?

I'm considering making the switch for the Bold and AT&T. One reason is because AT&T is cheaper by $20 because I don't need to have BES.

Anyone out there make this same switch? thoughts/opinions? Thanks in advance.

I did the switch! Do not regret it at all but keep in mind, you will want to choose based on what works best for you in your area. Mine was a give and take from one to the other but they both worked for me in my home and that was my main concern. I actually travel and have had a few (not many) instances where my ATT had signal that Verizon will not. Have not really lost service yet on the ATT. I can say for a fact that Verizon has a much better network when you look at it as all the US, but for my areas, they are about the same.

I didnt switch from the Curve I just switched from Verizon to AT&T. I was one of those guys who was carrying around two phones. A LG Chocolate Flip 8600 and a T-Mo BB 8700. I couldnt stand it anymore and had to ditch the double device thing and make it real with the Bold. Too bad AT&T voice coverage is no where near that of VZW.

I switched from a Verizon BB Curve to an AT&T BB Bold this past Friday. I had Verizon for 8 years and my only complaint was they always seemed to get the worst phones. When they finally did get good ones, it was a year after the other carriers already got them. I ordered the Storm and hated it. That's what made me switch to AT&T. It was a tough choice because I think in terms of voice coverage, Verizon is best. I'm in NYC so it shouldn't be a big issue. Overall, I'd say I had a better signal with Verizon and the call quality was better but I could be wrong. The Bold makes up for it though. I couldn't be happier with it.

Switched from VZW last Friday. Can't have camera phone at work. Too difficult to switch from Curve to 8830 on VZW. Sounds like it is easy to switch from a bold or curve to an 8820 with the sim cards so made the switch. I was going for the new curve with wifi, but could not resist the Bold! Son switched from VZW curve to Iphone. I can't deal with the touch screen Hoping I have no problem switching with a sim card swap when needed.

That's my concern. I travel across the state of FL quite often. Verizon looks great on their service throughout the state: http://vzwmap.verizonwireless.com/ou...7.JPG?vesuvius

AT&T doesn't look as strong, but it doesn't seem that it's really missing any areas either: http://www2.arcwebservices.com/out/m...1793643981.png

I really like the fact that AT&T has wifi, 3g and doesn't limit it's customers with GPS like VZW does. AT&T obviously has much better phone choices and always the first on the market with the new phones!

decisions decisions!

I made the switch...twice! LOL. Went from Verizon Curve to ATT Bold to Verizon Storm to Verizon Curve to ATT Bold. Both carriers are pretty solid where I live, so no connection problems. Just can't make up my mind on what phone I like.

I had to make the switch because I've started traveling internationaly.
