The only thing I know of isn't a hack and it costs money. You can get the unlimited browsing plan for your phone through your provider and only use the WAP browser... Other than that your shafted.

You don't need to hack it, nor is there a defined hack. As was mentioned you can get yourself a generic data plan and have limited functionality, or you can get yourself a BB data plan and have it all. Aside from those two options, I believe Wi-Fi to be your only other avenue to obtain free data usage.
