Does anyone have any idea why desktop manager opens and then closes within a second. I tried uninstalled and reinstalling multiple times but this does not fix the issue,

I have been having this problem recently too.

Microsoft KB902400 is what caused mine to do this. Removing the update restores normal operation.

any ideas how to remove the update. that microsoft tutorial doesnt seem to apply to windows xp.

finally figured out all the steps but still have the problem.
called nextel for help and they couldnt do anything
anyone else with any other ideas?
