Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

1. i record a VN
2. press 'Rename'
3. save VN in default mediacard/blackberry/voicenotes
4. i return to the VN index/menu and "No Voice Notes" is displayed

Where/how do i properly save VNs then?


BTW - had my Storm for almost a week and i effing love it!

see if u find it in the under media then voice notes instead of going directly to voice notes under apps i had a similar problem..hope it works for ya

hey - i'm in Hwood too! already tried that, thanks, but still "No Voice Notes" is displayed. So i'm assuming this is working for everyone else w/o a hitch?

Make sure there are no letters or spaces or anything typed in the box in the top of the list above * No Voice Notes * .

Also, can you see them anywhere if you plug the device in and search it as a removable drive?

Yes, there's nothing typed above *No Voice Notes*. Have not tried searching as a seperate device yet, but will later.

More bizarre: after i click Rename, i can click the folder icon for the save location and, as a scroll through Media Card/Blackberry/voicenotes/, I can see all the previously saved VNs there, that aren't showing up in the VN menulist.

Additionally, if I change the folder save path to: Device Memory/home/user/voicenotes, I still get nothing.

explore your memory card and it will be there....thats the only way that I know of so far.

OK, so then VN's aren't fully supported in this OS... correct?

have learned this issue is OS-caused for (at least) .83 and .85.

for those researching this, the workaround is:

1. go to media (mgr)
2. BB menu
3. choose 'Explore'
4. media card -> BlackBerry --> voicenotes

should list and you can play them from there.
