I have an 8310 on att. I have the "blackberry package" or whatever they call that for $30/mo.

I am giving my curve to my girlfriend (also has att) as I have a new phone. On her plan she has a regular phone. She is able to send picture mail, txt, etc but doesn't use the internet because it costs her money.

My question is when she uses the blackberry I know that the browser won't work, but will she still be able to send picture mail? I don't want her to have to pay $30 when she won't utilize it. I use it a lot and I hate paying it lol. She sends and recieves a ton of picture mail with family and friends. And since I'm in the navy, me as well.

when you put her sim in the curve it should be her phone, able to do anything her old phone did on the same service. (I'm assuming sprint uses sims - I have no idea actually)
I did this same thing when I went to the curve, gave my son my pearl. his plan doesn't have data, but does have the messaging.

Yes she will be able to do the picture messaging with this new blackberry. However to activate her new device, I will suggest sne one picture to herself first in order to update the device with her profile.

Thanks snow. Do you mean she take a pic with the curve and send it to herself? That's what I think you mean but figured I would ask.

I love my curve but I'm more in love with my storm, and she can't have that one :D
