Default T-Mobile_BlackBerry_8320_4.5.0.81 & DM 4.7

Please Login to Remove!

So I haven't updated the OS on my Curve in quite some time. So I decided to try T-Mobile's OS and updated DM to 4.7. Installed it and it ran as expected BUT the issue I'm running into the moment is that it appears to be stuck at "Downloaded Modules 199 of 267." Anyone else run into this issue? If it's in a frozen state, can I cancel it?

Thanks in advance.

How long has it been "stuck"? The OS upgrade can take up to 45 minutes. Also FYI, the newest OS is .110 which in my experience so far, is much better than TMO's .81

xyrcncp,

Thank you for your response. It's been stuck there for about 20 minutes now. I just finally pulled the USB cable since hitting "cancel" did nothing. It got as far as backing up the BB but that's about it. I'll give .110 a shot but I wonder if it has to do with DM 4.7? Should I just wipe it completely with JL?

Wirelessly posted (T-Mobile BB 8320 OS 4.5.0.81)

DM 4.7 sux for upgrades, as many others have found out. No need to to wipe, just inatall DM 4.6 from T-Mobile's website and upgrade to any OS you desire.

It can take a long time to do the install. But skip DM and use the loader method which is now in the OS update steps:

Quote:
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

True, skipping the DM method works as well.

Thanks for all your help guys. I ended up downloading .110 and running Loader.exe and so far so good. It's currently at "Wait for Device Initialization"
