Hey..

i just got my blackberry today!! Wohoo!! And i need to find a place where i can write down the internet-settings.. I talked with my carrier and they said that i can use the internet and everything WITHOUT having the BIS, and that they already have many Storm users in their network..

So my question is.. Where can i go and write these settings?

Ive read http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...ip-no-bes.html this thread.. But i dont understand a shit.. Where do i check what OS i have? What version and etc.

Thanks, I had no idea. So they use CDMA devices in Norway? That's fantastic!

I believe your web browser is tied to your BIS. If you don't have a BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) than you won't have a browser. Without browser you can't download third party apps directly to the phone, so you would have to use DM on your PC to get those applications. I am looking at m.google.com and don't see a way to download the .cod files for Google Maps, appears the only way to do it is through your Blackberry Browser.
