Can a shortcut to the call log be placed on the home screen?

All you have to do is hit/tap the call key and it brings up your call log.

There is an icon for the "phone" called "call log" in the applicaitons folder and hidden by default.

You can unhide this and move it to the home screen.

There is a setting in the phone options that you can set to have the call log come up as the default view when the send key is pressed.

This is a good tip. If you go into your phone, then Options, then General, you can change that. I hate having a bagillion icons on my home screen so if there's already a button for that i'll remove it.
