Default Curve Ringer Volume - almost 'too' loud.

Please Login to Remove!

Are there any programs and/or processes to lower and/or raise the ringer volume?

I love some of the ringers, but cant use them because they are actually too loud for my office. I'd like to be able to customize the volume so that I can have some subtle volumes at work and more higher volumes when I am at the ball fields. All this using just one ring tone. (the Tony Soprano ringer)

In your ring profiles, you can set the volume. Is this not working to your liking?

Definitely customize the profiles and choose a ringer that's soft by nature. You can create custom profiles as well. Say, create one and name it "Ball Fields" and have everything set to shake the earth when it rings.

The volume adjustments that Blackberry provides is not enough for me. I understand how the profile settings works. Even at LOW, its piercingly loud. As of this day, I have to run my ringers through CakeWalk Pro to lower the native volume to 10%. I was wondering if there was a Blackberry app that will do this on the device so I dont have to run the gambit on my ringers on the PC.

Don't know then, because if I set ringer volume to low and use a low ringer like Notifier_EtVoila, it's barely audible. Where do you work, a library?

Maybe you can use an app like BBlight that turns on the display when a message arrives, so it will catch your eye or something instead of having to hear it.

Thats the think, I would like to have the ability to use ONE tone with a subtle volume and one to bring the house down. I guess I am asking too much. Hehe...

Make your own ringtone on your computer with Audicity and change the volume to whatever you want. Then copy the ringtone to your phone.

If that's the case there's really no way other than adjusting the volume in the ringtone file via a sound editing app as you mentioned.

I actually just found that if I lower the play volume in the ringtones section of the phone, the volume when it actually rings is lower. Not much, but Im not flying out of my chair every time it rings now

You can select customized ringtones. Maybe use a "low-volume-recorded" ringtone
