Any online retailers selling unlocked 8900s yet?
Please Login to Remove!
They are starting to show up on ebay, so I assume its just a matter of days before we see them showing up elsewhere. Any site sightings would be appreciated.

Someone posted a link for an ebay site that was doing pre-orders. I think they were around $1000, which is a complete joke.
Other than that one, I have had no luck finding them. Hoping for a state side release here a few weeks.

They're $470 USD in Canada. Shouldn't be any more than that on ebay soon. Should be less than the Bold, which is going for $500-600 unlocked.

That's just the unlock, not the phone. Just want to be clear.

Of course, the loonie has fallen, but 20 bucks for a javelin would have been ridiculous...

Wirelessly posted (bb8320TMO)
I would buy one, but the problem, AFAIK, is that non TMO branded phones will not support UMA on TMO.

I don't believe that's true. I believe if the phone supports UMA, it is the same 8900 worldwide, and, should support UMA if the SIM, service books, and carrier you use support it.
I just bought an 8900 (for $699 o E-Bay), expecting it will support UMA.
Oh wait ... my wife's older, AT&T branded 8300 works on UMA on T-Mobile, so, I assume a Rogers one will as well.

Cory, how much are you asking. I know Rogers is selling them without a contract for C600 ~ $480

I would like a hands on "UMA works my unlocked Rogers 8900 on T-Mobile" before I pony up over 4 bills for one. As soon as I have that assurance I'm in.

UMA is device /carrier specific. A Rogers 8900 that supports UMA will never work on T-Mobile's UMA. You will have to wait for a T-Mobile launch.
