Default Errors when downloading YellowPages.com Mobile

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BlackBerry Bold 9000. When attempting to download the Yellowpages.com Mobile application I get the following error messages:

(1) "The server returned the following error while attempting to fulfill your request: ‘Connection Timed Out’.” Or,

(2) “Download failed” and “907 Invalid COD A network error occurred.”

I erased the "YP VPL 9000 [BrowserConfig]" Service Book and the YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile icon returned after a hard reset. Then, I made another attempt to download the application but got the following error message again: "The server returned the following error while attempting to fulfill your request: ‘Connection Timed Out’." (I have been able to download and install other applications.)

If the YELLOWPAGES.COM Mobile icon is going to be pushed back again into my BlackBerry, I want to make it work. Any ideas?

I got an email from a Yellowpages.com Customer Support representative. He wrote:

"We have been working on this issue all day. It is intermittent and therefore very hard to pin down... We are working on the issue as quickly as we can."

And the icon will continue to come back, as it is pushed to you from AT&T as part of their bloatware collection. You can hide it but you can't get rid of it permanently. Also, I understood there were some charges associated with the use of YPM.

Surprisingly, this one is free (except for any applicable data charges depending on one's plan with AT&T). Considering that a 411 call is $1.79, this is a good tool to have.

YELLOWPAGES.com solved the problem. I was able to download and install the application.
