Default Calander Sync with BIS

Please Login to Remove!

I find this a little strange. It seems that when i setup a meeting with someone. If I do not add my email to the list of people invited to the meeting/appointment. It will not add it to my calander through BIS. I have to send an actual invite to myself for a meeting I set in order for it to be in my calander on my BB. Is this normal?

Thank
Dan

Are you creating the meeting invite in Outlook?
If so, I believe BIS will not sync calendar entries. It is E-mail only. If you want to sync your calendar to your BB take a look at the How-to I created here.

I am creating them in outlook. What is weird is that if someone else sends me an invite. It WILL sync. The meeting will show up on my calender. The only time it does NOT show up. Is if I myself create the meeting.

Meeting requests are added to your calendar by the BB (Outlook does this on your PC) because the BB knows how to handle them. It's not the same as syncing which is an entirely different processs. To sync you need to use Desktop Manager and a USB cable.

You really should sync and/or backup regularly to a PC.

Try inviting yourself to the meeting as well. If you haven't filtered out messages from yourself, it should work.

Inviting myself does make it work.
