I chose the Storm over the Iphone mainly for its tethering capabilities, but i do go on youtube, facebook, and craigslist often with the phone, i have noticed that the pictures displayed and videos played have very bad quality and low resolution. I campared it to my friends i phone while we were driving down the road.

Is this something im just gonna have to deal with? or can i do something to get the resolution comparable to an Iphone.

This is my first BB device, so any help is appreciated.

Yes i agree... is there a fix to the poor video quality when in it is streaming.?
would a better browser fix this?

re: photo quality. looks like the browser purposely uses lower quality versions, if you go directly to a photo it shows in very nice, high quality. for instance, go to: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3269/...912a5cb9_o.jpg on you storm and you will see what i mean.

not sure if this is a setting you can disable or not, looking around, id rather wait for full resolution photos than get the poor quality ones.

ah, while in the bb browser, menu > options > general properties

select high quality under image quality

Also make sure the image stabilizer is on with the storm. It defaults to off so change it in the options to on, less shake.

we are speaking to the browser rendering and streaming video as opposed to the camera/camcorder

Thanks chief. I changed the setting and the quality improved a bit. I am unsure if is up tp par with the Iphones quality though. Ill have to do another comparison. Thanks

still not even close to iphone quality... i think we need a better browser...

the image quality is more than good enough for my tastes, but bb browser is not as good as safari. i am excited to see how opera performs once it gets optimized for the storm.
