Default Upgraded to 4.1.6 Now Stuck

Please Login to Remove!

I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.1.6 and after rebooting, it wasn't working and investigated to reinstall. I did so but I mistakenly selected MDS but we didn't have it before. The MDS databases are not existing so would it hurt if I did? Can I restart the setup all over again? When I cancel and restart setup.exe, it continues where it left off.
Oh and it's BES off an Exchange 2003 with Windows 2003 Server SP1

Best bet is to uninstall BES, reboot and then reinstall BES using the same existing BES instance name and cal/srp key.

On the other hand, if you want to continue with the installation simply install with MDS integration, create the databases and then disable the MDS integration service.

So it's okay to install the MDS and then disable it? I wanted to know before I screwed anything else up.

Look at the mapi config and verify you have followed all of the pre-requisites for the upgrade. Do you have T-support? this would be a good time to call if you are unable to activate users.

Worst comes to worst, you can revert to your 4.1 build by restoring your DB and BES instance. Please tell me you performed a backup prior to upgrade.

I figured it out and retraced my steps. I didn't install it via the BESAdmin login. I changed the Logon As in each Blackberry Services to the BESAdmin and everything started to work. It appears I am back online, devices activated and sending/receiving mail. Thank you for your help and pointers.
