Default What is the best Blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I own a iPhone myself but don't think it is good for professional use. So I'm looking into Blackberry for my girlfriend.

If you have any additional infos about Blackberrys post it here. Things like Keyboard vs. Touchscreen and such.

Thanks, Andy

Welcome to the forums.

Please read the forums. There is much info on the BB devices. A whole forum worth of info, in fact. Check out the 9500 forum for info on the Storm.

There is no "best blackberry".
Do your own research and choose the one that suits your needs and fits within your budget.

well, i'm strating to do that. i found getting input from people who owned already several smart phones is very valuable. usually you get two or three phones from the models recommended very often. those i would focus my research on.

also people often point out the key features for them. those might be important to me without me realizing it. so i wouldn't even search for them.

If you want to compare all models and their features, go to the BlackBerry.com site and there's a lot of info on each device and a comparison tool. For example, under the Curve section, all the Curve models are listed and you can compare the features of all models.

Since you own an iPhone, you might have 2 options:-

1) Go for a BB with the same carrier as yours.. The BB could be a 8310 or Bold. Bold might not be hit with your GF due to it's big size unless ur GF likes it big (no pun intended).

2) You could compliment your GF with the 1st touch screen phone from BB.. i.e. BB Storm. There are some good things about the Storm which do compliment the iPhone .. same as you would do to your GF.

BB model selection is mostly a matter of subjective preference. What keyboard do you prefer (try them out in person)? What features do you want/need (GPS/WiFi/etc)? That's mostly what it boils down to.
