Default Can't send MMS on AT&T Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

I've searched this forum and every MMS thread i've read pertained to Rogers.
Everytime I try to send an MMS picture message, I get a red x and the error "Failed to send message." I have 2 MMS service books and under TCP settings I have the cingulargprs apn. Ive reregistered numerous times under Host Routing Table. If i click on show details on the mms message, I get this error:

"Error 403: you are not authorized to view this page. Please try loading a different page."

I was able to send MMS messages on my Curve before I switched to the Bold.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did they upgrade your account? What type of account did you have previously? BES or BIS? the BIS code changed when moving to 3G/the bold.

Just a thought. I will test an MMS. Can you pm me your #. Otherwise I will test with some other means. Can you receive MMS though despite being unable to send?

My Wife is having the same issue on her Bold, and Mine works fine, 4 days dealing with AT&T comparing plans and still not fixed. It's ticking me off since she MMS me back and forth alot you know when her and I are out of town ect.

AT&T is ticking us off... No one knows what the issue is, from media net being added then removed then added again , to sending us to blackberry support then back to ATT. it's a joke.

Ill let you know if we ever fix it, keep us in the loop as well.

I wonder if you are going from an IPhone to the Bold. The same thing happened to me because there was a provision in my account left over from the iPhone (which has no MMS) preventing MMS. It also prevented access to wap web sites. AT&T techs are well aware of the problem and are working on a permanent fix. Give them a call.

Ok so this is what i discovered. When you go to an iPhone you have an MMS MediaNet OPT out that gets put on your account(line). So even if you call them and tell them you have a new phone and they set it up and add MMS and MediaNet to your account(line) your still opted out. After much *****ing with AT&T and speaking to level 3 and higher. The only thing was to have them open a case so the REAL tech at AT&T can log in to your account and remove that OPT.

They seem to be working on a automated way to reverse this. But proves to be harder then it was to opt out then it is to opt back in. Hope this helps anyone else down the road.

I had that happen when switching the SIM from a BB to my iPhone and back. Some wierd thing happens when you use your iPhone with the BB plan...it screws up MMS.
