Default sync BBM contacts on bold?

Please Login to Remove!

Just picked up my ATT bold, is there a way through either backup or restore or through device switch wizard to automatically transfer my Blackberry Messenger (BBM) contacts from my old curve to the bold?

I don't really want to make my 40 something contacts go through the accept process again..

Thanks!

Switch Device Wizard is all you need... been asked and answered here so many times.

Thanks, do you have a link or thread title to a thread that describes how it behaves with the BBM contacts or if there are any special steps to take? I searched and can't seem to find one that addresses that.

Thanks!

There are no special steps, just follow the prompts. You can move all of your data, mail, messages, contacts, etc., and settings, over from one BB to the next. Just follow the prompts.

Thanks! Worked like a charm! Now what do I do with the BBM contacts on my old device? Can I delete them (leaving them only on the Bold) without breaking the "bond" between my pin's and my friends?

I am curious because I found this thread but am not completely understanding what happened I don't think..

Is your old device "off" the network, no SIM and not communicating with the carrier? Yes, you can delete those contacts now, or even wipe the device.

Old device is currently off the network, I will wipe the device, but I would like to put a different SIM in it as a "backup" phone. Will the PIN reappearing on the network (but under a different phone number/SIM) cause any troubles?
