When trying to load destop manager 4.3, it goes along fine but eventually asks for the path to the 8320.msi, which we have never had or used.

Has anyone else seen this?

it should only ask for this if you are using it to upgrade device software. it is on top of the parent form of this post

Yes, I understand that, but all OS files are exe, not msi
So I don't understand why this is looking for that file. I found a RIM article with the exact same issue, just a different file name (blackberry.msi in the article) I followed the advice on how to fix this (registry hack) and it appeared to work. Now when the user activates the desktop manager, there is a pop up that flashes by really fast (it looks like an installation message) and continually does this until the desktop manager is closed.

Has anyone seen this before?

I might add that the desktop manager appears to function fine otherwise.
