Default Fixed led as alert signal

Is there any way to have the led fixed (or permantly blinking) as an attention signal when a message arrives?

Edit the profile for the message type you want, and set "Repeat Notification:" to "LED Flashing"

Mine seems to stop flashing after about 5 mins even if I have not touched the phone. Can that be stopped?

oh, my 8310 have the option of "LED flashing", but it only last for about 5 minutes. Is it possible to have it flashing permantly? I have only two options on repeat notification: "none" and "LED flashing".

I believe mine flashes red for about 20 minutes. AFAIK, it requires a third party app (forget the name, but you can probably search the forum to find it) to provide an option to make the notification permanent (until you acknowledge it).

The unit will flash the LED for 15 minutes or until you acknowledge it.

Or you can customize with BlackBerry Alerts.

I LOVE this app. It takes some messing around with to get it to work how you want though.

There are lots of postings on this forum about how Blackberry Alerts enables you to have the LED stay on red until a message is opened/deleted. This is the feature I want but I downloaded the trial version and could not work out how to do this. There is also nothing about this feature in the online instructions.

Please can someone explain how it is done.

Many thanks in advance.

Nick
